“Christopher knows all the countries of the world and their capitals and every prime number up to 7,057. He relates well to animals but has no understanding of human emotions. He cannot stand to be touched. And he detests the color yellow.” That’s the introduction of the main character of the novel.
It started with simple investigation of neighbor’s dog which got killed, then a twist in the plot became a trip alone to London for Christopher. The trip may seems simple for us, but it turned out to be an adventure of a life time from the boy’s point of view. Some chapters are written based on the thinking and feeling of the main character rather than the events happening around. Those are fun to read because readers got to understand how the boy thinks and some ideas are not as crazy as it seems as we might think the same way sometimes.
I especially like the last part of the novel which Christopher solved the mystery and overcame all the obstacles, he has such confident to do anything and determination of becoming a scientist. I love the fact that the novel expressed such a positive and hopeful message at the end. :yeah:
